Welcome to our association website!

The ASSOCIATION OF THE ROMANIAN DIPLOMATS’ PARTNERS (ARDP) was established in February, 2007, as a non-profit organisation under the aegis of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The association aims to fulfil the potential of the diplomatic representatives’ family members and to help them tackle the social and personal difficulties caused by the implicit mobility of the profession.

In order to accomplish all this, the association established several working groups to deal with the most important areas of interest for both its members and supporters:

• collection, storage and distribution of information related to education, necessary to ensure the quality and continuity of the learning process;
• socializing, adjustment to the new environment when posted abroad, and reintegration when returning back home;
• supply of linked information and, in conjunction with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, support for the implementation of legal rights for the employees’ families; lobby for the development of the legislation concerning these issues.

The association is committed to sustain charity activities to support Romanian exceptionally gifted children.

To promote these objectives, the association intends to become affiliated to the European organisation with the same profile, European Union Foreign Affairs Spouses’ Association (EUFASA). Romania, through ARDP, wants to become its 24th member.
